Recently at dinner Gage was talking to me about the music on Sleeping Beauty (he had watched it at Grandma's House) and he told me that the guy who wrote the music lived a long time ago. Then he said, "I'm not sure who wrote it....I think it was Tchaikovsky." Tim said "What do you know about Tchaikovsky?" Gage said he knew all about famous composers because they talk about them in Music Class. Then he said, "You know that song Hallelujah? Handel wrote that." Tim was incensed, "You mean every time I ask you about what you learn at school you could have told me about Handel?" Who knew that public schools still teach this kind of stuff? It kind of renews my faith...well, in lots of things.
Tim is an avid listener of classical music. I always thought he did it just so he could appear smarter than me, but I think he really likes it since whenever I get in his car his radio is set to the classical station. He and Gage have had so much fun talking about classical music. Gage was all excited to tell us about the song, Flight of a Bumble Bee. The title sounded familiar but I didn't know the song. Tim knew it, of course, and so he and Gage were talking about it and now I guess they are both smarter than me.

Funny Luke
My sister-in-law is good are recording the funny things her kids say. I commented on one of her posts that when kids say these funny things it makes all the trouble of motherhood worth it and it does for me. You kinda had to be there for this one to be funny so if it isn't funny to you...sorry...this record is for me anyway!
I had all the kids at mutual and the Young Women were taken with Luke....mostly because he talks so much and is such a flirt. The girls kept trying to get Claire to kiss Luke and Claire is always trying to pass out kisses to him. He kept running away and told one of the Young Women that if he let Claire kiss him it would turn him into a girl. Then Luke pointed to me and said,
"Yea, Claire kissed her and that's what happened to that Guy!"
Oh my gosh, we laughed so hard. That kids sure comes up with funny ideas.
